Don't Do This...

 I know I've written ad nauseam about living on a private drive and how that means that if you're not going to the home of someone on that drive (either by invitation or to make a delivery), you probably shouldn't be on it.  Especially if the private drive is unpaved and/or unplowed.  (https://bfthsboringblog.blogspot.com/2026/02/cold-ice.html and https://bfthsboringblog.blogspot.com/2026/03/dont-go-where-road-dont-go.html)

The snow has finally melted here, so you CAN see that the road is not really a road.  I mean in addition to multiple signs that say Private Drive and Dead End, it's clear that this road isn't going anywhere.

It's a path...yes, you COULD drive down it but you probably shouldn't.

I mean there is also this:

If you are dumb enough to keep going, you will eventually see...

So you will have to back up.  And that leads to...

I know my photos aren't that great, but those are ruts made by tires.  Whose tires, I don't know.  I'm GUESSING that it's from someone who tried to go down the road when it was snow and ice covered but... 

Now that this is all melted out, we've found "bits" of car.  We've found floor mats. (Which one driver used under the tires for traction.)  We've found bits of under carriage. 

(I know that's a small bit...there have been larger ones.)  Who knows what other "discoveries" we will find if we walk down the path to my neighbor's house?

So PLEASE don't drive down roads that warn you that they are private and/or are NOT through streets.  Even if your GPS tells you otherwise, BELIEVE what you see...

And if you have gone too far and you have to turn around, you CAN use my driveway to make a 3 point turn.  But DON'T use it as your  personal speedway, like this driver decided to do:

Unless you're delivering to my house...and even then, it's a driveway, not a speedway.
