 I saw the most incredible commercial this morning.  It literally made me stop drinking my coffee (and you know how much I love my coffee) and watch this commercial.  It was running on the local news (WNEP in Pennsylvania) and I have certainly never seen it on any other channel I regularly watch.  (Maybe I'm watching the wrong channels?)  If I tried to describe this commercial, you wouldn't believe me.   I tried to find it.  (Maybe I didn't try hard enough?)  I failed to find it.  The closest I could find was this (it's not as good as it's from a year ago, and it's from an FB page, but...) Take a look.

Now imagine that commercial on steroids.  I know you can do it.  Imagine the flag waving and the gratitude for making our country great again by bringing back flavored vapes and keeping us safe from illicit Chinese vapes.  Think of an outrageous SNL skit and you've got the idea of what this commercial was.  (Honestly if it hadn't been between 7:05 and 7:40 on a Saturday morning I would have thought it WAS a SNL joke.  Really!  It was that insane!)

In this world, where men and women are dying in the Middle East.  Where the war Russia started in 2022 has resulted in 400,000 to over 1.5 million (estimated) lives being destroyed (wounded or killed).  Where prices on food and fuel have risen to all-time highs.  Where books are banned and educators silenced.  Where facts and research no longer matter.  We at least have one thing to celebrate.  The FDA has approved marketing for four flavored vapes made by the company Glas Inc. Praise be!

We can have measles outbreaks.  (https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/5867072-utah-measles-outbreak-2026/)  We can have children watch their parents being taken away by ICE agents in masks. (As an aside, agents have improperly detained or arrested over 170 U.S. citizens since 2025, according to investigations.) We can have National Parks facing a severe crisis driven by a 25% reduction in staffing since January 2025 and steep budget cuts.  We can have 18 incidents of school gun violence since the beginning of the month. (https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/school-shootings).  But let's rejoice and thank the President for allowing adult to enjoy their flavored vapes "safely".

While I am not a fan of vaping; if someone is an adult, then they can legally vape and I'm certainly not going to stop them.  I may wish they would stop, but that is their right.  So I'm NOT trying to stop vaping or smoking.  I'm NOT telling you what to do.  (Although I would if you asked.)

What I am saying is that this is ridiculous.  There is so much more that this country needs to focus on.  But hey, let's M(ake) V (aping) G(reat) A(gain).

MVGA...it's definitely an important part of this administration’s legacy.  Let’s never forget it.

  Today my husband is getting his Covid-19 vaccine.  He has been waiting for this day for a LONG time.  (Haven't we all?)  He fits the current age requirement (currently 55+ in NJ) and has underlying conditions that make him eligible (high blood pressure and diabetes.)  He's understandably nervous, anxious and excited all at the same time. Friday's Special Surprise

Is there any one of us who does not like to be treated specially?  I mean each of us is unique and special in our own way, but to be picked out for a special task or special honor is always a wonderful treat. Just the other day I was blessed with a very special invitation.    Let me back track a year or so. When my husband and I moved the Pocono Mountains, in town there was a building that was obviously once a medical building/doctor’s office. I was disappointed that there was no longer a town doctor in the building and I hate seeing such a nice little place being unused. However, I found out that it was going to be turned into a coffee house. I love my coffee! We Have Taken America Back

Back to a time when all men (and women) are not created equal.  Where women's healthcare is determined by men's laws and not by medical professionals. Where education tells only the "winning" side of the story and truth does not matter.  Where banning and burning books is a social event.  Where people who are "different" than those in power can be mocked, shunned and hurt with no real consequences.
