I Want To Go To Disney World...



I want to go to Disney World
To fly there on a plane
I'd travel in first class of course
The pilot would know my name

At MCO I'd be met
And driven to my resort
The Grand Floridian or Polynesian
My choice as my home port

At the Magic Kingdom
I'd go on every ride
I'd tour the Haunted Mansion
Ghost host right by my side

At Hollywood Studios I would dine
At Epcot I would drink
Animal Kingdom I'd tour slowly
So much to see and do, I think

Or perhaps...


I want to go to the beach
To stand on the ocean shore
To watch the sunrise and later set
To feel the breeze once more
 The smell of suntan lotion
the sound of crashing sea
I'd dive right in to meet the waves
Let the ocean carry me

I'd build a tall sandcastle
Feel the sun upon my face
My whole day would be perfect
In this calm and beautiful place

Or maybe...


I want to go to the mountains
where the air is fresh and clean
Sit back and simply listen
as nature is so serene

From a rocking chair on a porch 
I'd watch fluffy clouds go by
I'd sip my coffee or my wine
As overhead birds would fly

I'd hike beside a mountain stream
I'd canoe the pristine lake
Evenings I would count the stars
As if they were mine to take


But still...


I will not go to Disney World 
Nor the mountains or the sea
Now is NOT the time to do so
Home is where I must be

What I want and what I need
They are two different things
I need to keep my family safe
Nestled safe under my wings

To heal this broken and ailing world
To rid it of this pandemic
We ALL must do what experts recommend
To avoid further epidemic

Stay home; stay safe
Wear a mask and keep your distance 
It may not be what we want
But what we need in this instance

There will be time for Disney World
For the mountains and the sea
For all the places we love to go
With friends and family

But now is NOT the time my friends
To do so would be wrong
Show respect; act responsibly
Or else our wait will be so long

We want to work, we want to play
We want to hug our friends
But we MUST wait; help save mankind
Or this may never end

There will be time for Disney World
For shopping at the mall
But for now, we NEED to wait
For the health of one and all.

The last time I blogged (https://bfthsboringblog.blogspot.com/2023/06/where-do-i-go.html ), this song from "Hair" was going through my head.  Today the above tune, written by George Harrison in 1968, but not officially appearing until George's 1979 solo album "George Harrison" (wonder how he came up with that title) has been running around in my head.  "Not guilty For getting in your way While you're trying to steal the day. Please Don't Ask Me...

 ...about the house.  (For clarity:  I am talking about the house that my parents lived in at the Jersey Shore.)  I realize that you mean well.  (Or at least most of you do...if you've read  https://bfthsboringblog.blogspot.com/2023/07/not-guilty.html  you know who I mean.) My mom died a year ago Sunday.  My dad died last Saturday.  I am NOT focused on the house right now.  I am working on organizing a memorial down at the shore later this month.  (Which is turning out to be a lot more complicated than I thought it would be and SHOULD be.)  I am thinking about the graveside service that is scheduled for tomorrow morning.  I planning for the people that might come back to our house afterwards.  (Have no idea how many; so I've ordered some food and have some beverages and think I have enough.  I probably have too much, but that's how I roll.)  I am fielding phone calls and messages from friends and relatives, which I appreciate (if you're reading this Amanda, Linda, Pat

Lowe's LIES

Note:   before you start reading this blog post go back and read my  previous post . It will give you some important information about the BS that I have been dealing with when it comes to getting a new refrigerator and  Lowe's .  First off, let me say if you are my friend or if you are my enemy (I don't have any do I?), if I know you or if I don't know you, let me give you this advice.  NEVER  order an appliance from  Lowe's . Let me say that again  NEVER EVER  ever order an appliance from  Lowe's .  After the debacle that  Lowe's  created on Friday the 16th of June, I reordered the same refrigerator to be delivered to the shore address on Saturday June 17th. I was told that the refrigerator that they could not deliver because they had the wrong town had to be returned and I would be credited. As of this writing that hasn't happened; as of this writing there are two refrigerators with processing charges on my credit card.  However I am ever hopeful an
