F D T



We're living in a world of fear.  We're living in a world that is depressing.  We're living in a world that is tired.  Fear.  Depression.  Tired.  F T D.  But that's not all those letters stand for.  They stand for something else...something important.  What we need is not fear, depression and tiredness.  We need something else.

That something else is more important, more urgent than it has ever been.  Our world is in chaos and new F D T is what we need.  What this F D T looks like to each of us may be slightly different, but in the end, it is truly the same.  As we stand by our values and humanity, F D T is imperative!

So, F D T!

Faith: No matter what manner of worship, we must have faith.  We need to believe in good that whatever God/the universe has in store for us.  We cannot lose hope, even though the days may seem dark.  We need to keep our faith even in the darkest of times.  Have faith; let it light you from within and shine bright.  Share that light.  Share that faith.

Determination/Devotion: We must be determined/devoted and carry on in the face of hatred and/or evil.  The light can overcome the darkness, but we need to be devoted to that light.  We need to be determined and keep that light shining.  Be determined to carry on.  Be devoted to your faith.  Keep on and keep strong.  Determination and devotion can get us there.

Trust/Truth: We need to trust ourselves and our instincts/feelings.  If it feels "off" it probably is. (Or as we say in my house: if it tastes funny...throw it out.)  We also need to seek the truth.  The truth is not what I say, it is what is verifiable and factual.  Seek the truth.  Follow the truth.  And when you find it, Trust it.

(Almost) Fully Furnished: Life at Bfth's Pocono Perfection.

 Friday morning the final (for now) furniture delivery arrived at our home.  We now have a dining room table and chairs, as well as a smaller table and 2 chairs for the "breakfast nook."  While we still need to put some finishing touches on the house (artwork needs to go on the walls,  may need a chair in the primary bedroom, and other decorative items), at this point our house is pretty much finished and where we envisioned it. So welcome to Bfth's Pocono Perfection! Pull on up and come on in. Look out from the front porch area and take in the colors on autumn. In the foyer/entryway you there is a small "tribute" to my parents and their love of the NJ shore.  There is another area by the front bay window that honors them.  (Foster's Famous Crab Stick lives on!) Cold Hearted B

 For many years I have never had a pet. Mostly that has to do with the fact that I have terrible allergies. So having cat or a dog is out of the question.  It made it difficult for my son who admittedly loves cats. It's just something we can't have not have.   As a result of not having a pet I have become that cold-hearted b****. I don't understand the pain that comes with the loss of a pet. I just don't get it. Or I just didn't get it. Recently his cold-hearted b**** has had karma slap me straight in the face.   When my husband and I purchased a house in the Poconos, it came with a pond. That pond was full of koi.  I know the previous owner loved the koi. Each one had a name. They were many of them and they kept having more babies, so some were unnamed. I loved sitting outside this past summer. I'd watch them swim. Sometimes they would leap out of the water. When I would feed them with their favorite snack Cheerios, they would rush to nibble them...
