Coincidence or Sign?

When we purchased our home in the Poconos there were a lot of things that seemed to point out that we were doing the right thing.  There seemed to be "signs" that this house and this area were for us.  One of the owners of the house had mentored/coached a friend of my son's at college.  The person who inspected the house for us just happened to have gone to the same high school as I did in NJ.  (He was two years behind me.)  The stars were aligned, right?

(Now please don't take that to mean that all is perfect here.  As much as I love the house and the land there have been plenty of hiccups along the way, some of which were more costly than I imagine.  Isn't that the way of life though?)

With that said another interesting coincidence (or sign) happened recently.

With the purchase of this house, my weekly treks back and forth to NJ and the experience I've had over the past several years weighing on my mind, I decided it was time for my husband and I to get legal matters in hand.  I had a will drawn up when my son was little that covered just me; my husband did not have one.   What I had gone through with my parents made me realized that we needed wills, PoAs and living wills drawn up.  I googled attorneys in our area and came up with one that would fit our needs.  She drafted what we needed and in our discussions, it turned out she has a relative that lives in our town in NJ!  (A just down the block from a friend of mine!)

On Friday, we went to her office which is in the township's community center.  Since we are still new to the area and don't know too many people, she supplied two witnesses for us.  One was a woman who works at the center and who I "knew" from a class that I had taken there.  (The only class that I have taken thus far, I'm hoping that will change.)  Another was a woman who lives only about a mile from our house in the Poconos and...Owns a small winery!

Even before we had finished with all the legalities, I was handing over cash to purchase a sweet rose that she has.  She hand delivered it to my house later that afternoon.  I have yet to try it.  (There's one more week to Easter and then that bottle is being cracked open!)  But here's the really big sign for me...

Look at the name of the wine.  Both my parent's were sailors.  By the front door is an area that pays tribute to them and that.
If it weren't for the sale of the house my mother owned at the NJ shore, this house in the Poconos would not have been possible.

Is this just coincidence, or is it another sign?

Does it really matter?  I think I've made a new friend and found another local business that I am more than happy to support!
